Joining Up

Yes I am.
Finally.
I mean I've been thinking about it, and it's against my better judgement but I'm a doing it.
Joining the union:

It's not that I have anything against the union.
Well okay, I do.
I mean I've been in a union before and it worked for me.
Saved me from being fired and all that even when I should have been.
Fired that is.
The thing is that for most of my working time I have been on the other side of the union and for the most part I don't enjoy how the union works.
I mean I think that there was a time when unions were needed, you know, to protect the worker, but nowadays with all the laws and stuff like good sense I think that unions actually inhibit growth and change.
Especially when it comes to education.
You read it here first: there will never be true education reform until the unions are busted.
Okay, maybe you didn't read it here first but it's true.
Sad, but true.
That union busted thing includes the union I'm about to join.
Sadly again.
I could probably write a twenty page paper on the reasons why I think reform will never take place while the unions exist and I probably should since it's so freakin obvious but no one seems to acknowledge it.
Anyways I'm joining up since dues are mandatory and I get some free life insurance and in case I get sued I'm covered.
Besides, the union just got a raise and since I get it too I might as well join ranks.
Sort of.
If you know what I mean.
On a lighter note, I started my wall mural thingy:

This is going to be my analog wall, where all the film pictures go.
I don't know why, but I got four panels of mirrors and even though I'm a handsome dude I don't need to see myself all the time when I go to the bathroom.
Even though I do.
See myself every time I go to the bathroom I mean.
You know, bathroom mirror.
I guess I should say that I don't need to see myself every time I get up to go to the fridge.
Which I do.
See myself every time I go to the fridge I mean.
So I got some mirrors to cover up and that means I got some pictures to be taking.
Which shouldn't be a problem since I own like nine cameras.
Soon to be ten.
Maybe.
Actually I hope not, about that tenth camera, but if you've been following along at home you, the reader, know that I just can't help myself.
I'm certifiable don't you know.
RANTWICK said so.

Cold Beverage Awesomeness

The most awesome cold beverage ever invented!
No really.
Have I ever led you, the reader, astray?
Well, okay there are more awesome cold beverages out there, but this one is legal to drive with:

Sixteen ounces of blue slushy goodness!
Well almost sixteen ounces.
It's so awesome I just couldn't wait for pictures:

The perfect reward for after that long ride or after carrying boxes and boxes o'stuff up and down the stairs.
Which I have been doing all weekend long.
The carrying boxes part.
The front room looked like this:

Then after another load of uh, stuff it looked like this:

Wait.
Let's call a spade a spade.
It's not uh, stuff.
It's a load of crap.
I got a lot o'crap.
Not too bad you say.
That's just the front part.
The back part looks like a bomb exploded at a really bad garage sale:

I ain't kidding you, I got a lot o'crap!
There's still more to come as I got at least another couple of car loads back at the other place.
One thing is for sure, I am simplifying.
The ole if you haven't used it in a year rule applies.
Well, except for tools and stuff.
Maybe.
I still got my roll cab and top chest tool box thingy and I'm not sure exactly where it should go.
Doesn't exactly match the decor don't you know.
Still I need it, you know, just in case I decide to cut open some walls or something.
The good thing is I got a space for all my bicycle jerseys:

The bad thing is I still haven't even moved my bicycles here.
The ole Rockhopper is still in the back of my car and the two road bikes are in my classroom at school.
The good thing is that school is like right across the street, less than a five minute walk.
The New Flat Tire Command Center.
World domination starts here.
As soon as I get rid of all these boxes.
