New Shoes

I got some other stuff in the other day, this time for the Bike With The Funny Name.
Which hasn't been out yet due to the funny weather.
Except the weather is now great, but I'm busy doing day labor.
Hope to get out soon.
To try out my new grips:

I looked at some other grips, but I wanted something in brown to sort of match the seat and the red paint.
There were some faux leather grips that looked kinda cool, but I decided to do the cork thing:

Besides, they were really cheap.
Now I just have to figure out how to get them to stay on.
I guess some two sided tape is in order, unless you, the reader, have something better in mind.
I was thinking of doing them like golf clubs using the tape and some alcohol.
The feel kinda of cool, reminds me of a fishing pole.
Or something.
Anyways, the old tires on the BWTFN were sort of funky, they had this raised center:

As you can see, they were still kinda new lookin but I don't know how long they had been sitting outside, so I decided to change them anyway.
I mean I don't want to go and blow out a sidewall if you know what I mean.
I'll keep them as backup tires.
I went ahead and ordered me some inexpensive Tires from Performance Bike, one of the few places that doesn't charge like and arm and a leg for shipping.
I could only change the back though for I forgot that I peeled off the rim tape on the front and I forgot to replace it.
I temporarily used some electrical tape and I know I should change that out.
The tire looks pretty nice:

I'm hoping that changing the shoes will get rid of some of that squirrelyness I feel in the front end.
I'm getting the BWTFN all ready to go for my cousin said he's ready to ride around with me.
Maybe.
He has a better job than me so I'm just forced to crush his soul.
In a nice way.
If you know what I mean.
Oh, and I just noticed something when I looked a the picture of the new tire.
I mounted it backwards.
Say it with me: what a banana head!
On the other hand, if I was perfect, this blog wouldn't be half as fun.
Sort of.
I think.
Maybe.
