I had to get started.
Force myself to get started.
It wasn't easy, for this is the part I don't really enjoy.
Well okay, I enjoy it some, but not a whole lot for it's sort of tedious and I'm sort of lazy.
Don't you know.
It was time to glaze them bowls.
Actually I like to glaze bowls, just not with these glazes.
I'll be happy when we get the high fire kiln going.
Anyways, I decided this year that all my or at least most of my bowls will be white with some sort of decorative design.
So instead of having to make color decisions, I'm just slapping some clear glaze on them and doing some blobs of color.
Rorschach style.
Blots.
Abstract is what I'm calling it.
Yeah, that's it, abstract:
The problem with this is trying to control the blob, er, abstractness as the glaze tends to run.
This will also affect the way the color comes out as the these glazes need to be put on rather thick.
It was sort of interesting, rolling the glaze around in the bottom of the bowl:
I can't wait to see how they come out.
Anyways, the other day I alluded to something nice happening and I jumped the gun by eating this:
Super Duper Round Table Pizza!
With anchovies!
A celebratory meal.
Sorry Steve, I'll get some chili later.
As you can see, I had already started when I remembered to document the moment.
Well, something good did happen to me, but I'm waiting until I sign on the dots to announce it.
I mean anything can happen between now and then, especially with my luck so until the ink dries on my John Hancock, I can neither confirm or deny well, anything.
If you know what I mean.
One thing I will confirm is that a haircut is coming.
Despite my dislike of haircuts, I need all the good karma I can get.
I also need all the pizza I can get.
Sort of.

That pizza is also a work of art.
The only thing wrong with pizza is all that crust...
I have to say, pizza is my favourite. It must have to do with my Italian origins, but the truth is that I like them with everything, anchovies is an option, but have you tried them with eggs and pickles? That is how they eat it in Argentina. Apparently, inhabitants there are from Italian descendance, so they make the strangest forms of pizza. I travelled there 2 years ago and that is when I tasted this one I was telling you about. I had decided to rent an apartment in buenos aires because I had been told that pizza deliveries were better and I wanted to order one from one of those places. Now I´m back home and I can´t find any pizzas like those made in Argentina!
I too am a pizza fan, but only once with anchovies. Looking forward to glaze report.
Thanks for the post!
Pizza is good stuff. I try not to eat it too often cuz it is addictive.
What hair cut? Can't judge if you need one from all them bowls and plates and cups now, can we?
Can't wait to hear the good news.
Paz :)
You are lucky to have some hair to cut....!!
